Phish announces Free webcast for Dayton, Ohio tomorrow night.
Phish may feel guilty for laying two and 1/2 ducks in Chicago or they think the added pressure will help the band find the magic. But we all know it's because they kick ass! Tommorrow night they will give a free webcast of their performance at the Nutter Center  in Dayton, Ohio. Let's not forget that one of the best shows in Phish's history was performed at that very venue. It's still is easily one of my top 5 shows that I have witnessed from any band. LivePhish.com will host a free webcast of Tuesday nights Dayton's show live. Both sets can be viewed on YouTube or on the link below l. Showtime is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.

moe. Announces indefinite Hiatus after bassist Rob Derhak is diagnosed with cancer.

Grateful Music has some horrific news to report, beginning August 1,2017 the band is going on an indefinite hiatus due to Rob Derhak's cancer diagnosis. I am a huge moe fan that starting following them after the first Further festival introduced me to the unique New York jam band. I am stunned and saddened by this news, has they are amazed humans as well as musicians. In an statement signed by all five members of moe., the band explained they will honor their July 21 in New York City and July 28 at Huckleberry Jam dates. Also they will go out in style at  Lockn’ Festival with Phil Lesh. Those three shows are the only appearances the band will play for ........  :( This makes Lockn' a must for myself. Rob explained the treatment will be rough on his body and he expects to make a full recovery.
The complete letter to the the “Famoe.ly” can be read below:Due to unforeseen circumstances, moe. will …

The First Winner and New Member of Grateful Music Productions is Jarod Gregory for this Insightful Entry.

I going to announce and publish a winner each day this week. On Friday I will publish  3-5 wild cards and let the community vote on their new voice. Today's winner is Jarod Gregory for the below submission. Congratulations!  What the Grateful Dead means to you in 200 words or less.
Understanding art lies with experiences. Art is written (or played or spoken or painted) and interpreted through the lens of the reader or listener. For example, a story about the beauty of a summer day at the ballpark means much less to a person who has never watched a baseball game in person. The Grateful Dead is the reflection of the world around it- the interpretation of not specific experiences but simply of being experienced. Their music is somehow relatable to anyone with any background, though the meaning certainly varies from person to person. What the Dead means to me is unique only t…

They have been riding a wave of momentum the past couple of years since their new lineup has blossomed into a more mature and magical act. They have some colossal shows coming up including The Gorge with "Pretty Lights" and their upcoming three night run at Red Rocks September 8-10th. They also are playing The North Coast Music Festival and the much anticipated Oregan Eclipse. On top of a few other festival appearances, they just announced a bevy of new dates. They are showing the South some much needed love besides Atlanta's Imagine Festival. VIP & Presale begins July 18th. The new dates are below along with some of Aaron Bradley's phenomenal shots of his favorite band.
