While Phish was figuring their chemistry out on The Noth Island in Chicago Friday Night, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe played a smoking show at the Concord. There was no question about this band's timing as they came out firing on every possible cylinder.

Karl got the packed house moving in unison with an adventurous  "Dance Lesson Number 2". Notes were seemingly raining down from the ceiling has Karl Denson's crowded stage more than held their own and made it obvious why he tours with such a large band.

"Elephants" and crows favorite "Flute Down" kept the dance party moving until Phish fans made it to the afterparty. Karl keep the energy high with a few Rolling Stones Covers.

While Phish was clearly the biggest draw Friday Night, the best show was held at the Concord by a band that can play any genre to perfection.
