Zero and Kimock and Friends will honor the life of artist Dave Hunter on May 12th.  All proceeds from concert and auction to benefit his daughter.

Grateful Music reported about the loss of beloved artist Dave Hunter earlier this month. The Kimock clan  have changed their original plans. The concert will now raise money for his daughter and include "Zero". It is sure to be a special event. Here is a copy of the press release. It will be a magical night fit for a special soul that we lost to soon.

Sad to say, reality has intruded on our plans for a benefit concert for Dave Hunter.  Unfortunately, cancer claimed him on April 30th – in Robert Hunter’s words, “May the four winds blow him safely home.”

In some ways, this changes nothing; our May 12th “Art and Soul” show at the Great American Music Hall will remain a benefit, with all proceeds going to Dave’s daughter Jaz (short for Jasmine).

But the evening will now be an honoring and celebration of Dave’s life, and that has caused a reshuffle.  Steve Kimock’s first great band, Zero, will now open the show with a full set of music that Dave was particularly fond of.  And Steve Kimock and Friends – (Bobby Vega, Jeff Chimenti, Leslie Mendelson, John Morgan Kimock and also some very special guests – will follow.

An exceptional silent auction – Dead & Co. tickets, signed posters, a signed Modulus guitar – will make some wonderful stuff available.

If there’s a better way to grieve the loss of a wonderful artist than to come together and dance, we haven’t found it yet.  Join us.
