Trey pays tribute to Col.Bruce Hampton, Leon Russell and J.J.Cale last night in Tulsa. Watch, Setlist and 411

Trey Anastasio paid tribute to Col. Bruce Hampton last night when T.A.B opened up with a debut cover of "Basically Frightened". It was a staple in Hampton catalogue and when the cover was finished Trey said a few words about his departed friend. Later in the first set T.A.B covered Leon Russell's "Delty Lady", claiming this was the part of the country that knew his music best. The biggest surprise came in the encore where T.A.B took "Push on to the Day" and weave it in and out of J.J Cale songs "Call me the breeze" and later "Cocaine". The first two tributes were clearly planned, however the encore seemed spontaneous. Thanks to Jambase for the videos.
