Amazon to host a Grateful Dead T.V. Series! The series will be written by Jonathan Herman who was nominated for an Oscar for "Straight out of Compton".

Holy Shit! Growing grey while loving the Grateful Dead is indeed a long trip. Amazon has bigger Dead dreams planned beside hosting the four hour Amir Lev directed feature documentary "Long Strange Trip". It is the much anticipated documentary produced by
Scorsese and purchased at Sundance last January. Today we found out that also in the works, is a biographical T.V. Series. Picked to write this exciting project is much acclaimed Oscar nominee Jonathan Herman. He received the nominee for the screenplay for " Straight out of Compton" . The show will be based on long time Grateful Dead roadie Steve Parish's memoir "Before Daylight" My life on the road with the Grateful Dead. Bob Weir and Parish will be executive producers with Bobby in charge of all the music. This will launch a t.v series that hopes to capture the magic and phenomenon  that is and was The Grateful Dead. The group of mid-fits that forged their way from the Height Ashbury days to tour almost nonstop for 30 years.  Bernie Cahill and ROAR will also serve as executive producers on this project.
Let the speculation begin!! Who should play Jerry and the boys. I am as happy as a couch potato Dead head can be.
