Voodoo Dead continued to amaze last night in New York City as they weaved mainly Grateful Dead classics to great ends at the sold out Irving Plaza. My god this band continues to improve nightly and every tune they play is absolutely crushed. Leslie Mendelson from Steve's band K I M O C K led her sultry vocals and the prodigy Brandon “Taz” Niederauer also sat in for a large portion of the show. Thanks to Jambase we have the audio again and it's worth a few listens. The Dark Star sandwich was played to perfection as Kimock understands that sometimes it's the notes you do not play that create gold. The " So Many Roads" and the funky "Cissy Strut" from set two are also exceptional. Jackie Greene, Otiel, Wally and Jeff are one unit and the results are scary good. Catch this band! Below you can enjoy streaming the show.
