Steve Kimock's supergroup Voodoo Dead absolutely crushed the first of two shows at The Hamilton. Setlist, Videos and 411
Last night the 11th Annual Nolafunk Mardi Gras Ball and tour starring "Voodoo Dead" started in Washington, D.C. Steve Kimock is joined this year with Jackie Greene, Oteil Burbridge, Wally Ingram and Jeff Chimenti behind the ivory.  This Deadicated supergroup began a two night run at The Hamilton with a masterpiece of a show. I witnessed the magic via a stream and was blown away. Luckily, Jambase shared some quality videos and a complete audio from the show. You can stream and watch below.
The evening got started with a few friendly words by Steve Kimock before he led the group into a fantastic version of "Philadelphia Mamba". The set that followed was awe-inspiring as the band played heartfelt versions of Grateful Dead and JGB classics.  Papa Mali joined the party for "Bertha" and played most of the set. The same lineup will play again tonight.
