Music Festival giants AEG and Superfly (Bonnaroo and Coachella) could have "super festival" in Denver by 2018.

The Westword reported that the powers behind Bonnaroo and Coachella have been in discussion with Denver about bringing a "super festival" to the city a mile high as soon as 2018. The music pioneers want to host the new festival at Overland Park Golf, which happens to be the oldest golf course in Colorado. They recently held a meeting at the courses' clubhouse, where the local talking heads estimated the new venture would generate 1-2.5 million dollars for the city. Chuck Morris, CEO of AEG Live Rocky Mountains, said this has been in discussion for some time. There are still plenty of hurdles to get over, one being closing the golf course for an estimated five weeks to set up the festival. The golf course also wants to pick the dates and the music to end by 10:00 p.m. So, it's still far from a done deal.
