Rob Wasserman has been hospitalized and Bob Wier posted on his Facebook page that he "is facing a serious struggle".

Rob Wasserman the bass player extroinoire who co-founded Ratdog with his good friend Bob Weir was hospitalized recently. Bob Weir took to his Facebook page to lend his support."I hope that we can all pause to send him and his family the strength and support to face these difficult days." Rob and family, my thoughts, heart and spirit are with you today,” Weir added.
I am far from a doctor, but he did not look heathy when I recently saw him in "The Keller Williams Trio", his bass however sounded as revolutionary as ever. There is nobody that plays the stand up bass like Rob.
He also played in the improvisation heavy band "Banyan" and as played with the likes of Van Morrison, Loe Reed and many in-between.
Rob Wasserman and his loved ones are in Grateful Music thoughts as he struggles. We will keep everyone updated on any fund raisers.
