Highberry is Changing Venues But Not The Philosophy that makes this Festival Grateful. Mulberry Mountain is Calling Me  Home.
A Preview of the Highberry Music Festival; Where Everyone is a V.I.P!

Highberry is less than a month away and it is time to talk about all that has changed.  Highberry has grown considerably from the small festival that started with the pool party back in 2010.  This year, Highberry has moved to the majestic Mulberry Mountain.  However, this festival will be unlike any most of us have attended on this slice of paradise. One of the big differences from is that there will be NO VIP SECTION.

This is a matter of philosophy for the promoters, Deadhead Productions.  They believe all fans should be considered equal and encourage a culture of “free range music fandom.”  I have experienced this at earlier Highberries, and it entirely changes the vibe that one experiences at more structured music festivals.

What will make this festival different from any prior held at Mulberry Mountain is not only equal access to the stage fronts, but to camping as well.  With the exception of the reserved rv spots, all other camping spots are fair game.  Additionally there will be no security gate between camping and the music stages, allowing audience members to bring coolers of their own beverages of choice the show.

The line up for Highberry is reaching a new level this year.  With Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams, Papadosio and Buckethead as headliners you know it is going to be a good time.

Buckethead hasn't been seen much on stage since 2012, so this should be an extra special treat.  Nor have we seen Yonder Mountain String Band and Jeff Austin at the same venue in a long time.  Anything could and will happen.
