Phil and Friends are Playing a pair of Rare East Coast Shows at Brand New Venue at Coney Island.

Former Core Four and Grateful Dead
bassist Phil Lesh is introducing another  new but promising version of Phil Lesh & Friends in Brooklyn N.Y. The shows will take place Septemper 14 and 15 at the new Amphitheater at Coney Island. Phil's ensemble is similiar to the line up that joined him to open his new outdoor stage at his Mecca. He will be joined by the same members of Soulive and guitarist Grateful Music favorite Jackie Green and Eric Krasno, Alan Evan will be keeping time while Neal Evans is on the keys. If that is not impressive enough magic will be easily conjured with multi-Instrumentalists Jason Crosby and the great Karl Denson. They will be joined by The Shady Horns for the rare east coast show. But talk about the potential of being historic this is the largest brass section that I can recall. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 13 at noon via Ticketmaster
