Founded in 2014, Denver based “self-described Funk’Rollgroup Good Touch is excited to release their debut album “Foreplay”, at Tony P’s in Denver June 9th. Lead guitarist, and CU Denver School of Jazz graduate Alex Newton and drummer Tyler Hobbs stumbled upon each other in the campgrounds atPhish Dick’s in 2011, and immediately started throwing down tasty jams from that weekend on. From there, the two were introduced to bassist Josh Melton through mutual friends at the CU Denver Music School. Ever since the emergence of current key player Joe Humphrey’s, Good Touch has taken off in the music scene playing alongside Colorado bands such as Pete Pidgeon & Arcoda, RAH, Casey Russell's Soul Shack, Spread the Word Music Festival, and most impressively were the winners of the 2016 Road to Summer Camp at Cervantes in Denver. The band looks forward to performing in front of thousands at the end of the month at Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois, alongside longtime hosts Umphreys Mcgee, Moe., The Roots, STS9, and many other Summer Camp veterans.

Foreplay’s opening track “Never Slow Down” opens the album up with a funky, rockin’ anthem, that sets the mood on point for Good Touch’s current journey to the top of the Colorado music scene. Never slowing down, the following track “Dreamer, exhibits the wide range of versatility that the band possesses, transitioning from straight funk-grooves, into deep driven jazz guitar solos. It is hard to listen to this band and sit still in your seat; the band immediately hits a groove that continues with fierce intensity and focus throughout the entirety of the album. Along with non-stop fun, Good Touch’s music screams the word versatility into your face like a charging bull. Closing track “Step Outside” starts out with a two steppin’ feel to it, and then breezes out of eloquent jazz and rock segments, ending on a beauteous high note that leaves you wanting more.

This band can do anything, and has proved that with practice and perseverance, dreams do come true. The band looks forward to embarking on a summer tour that includes stops in the Midwest, Summer Camp Music Festival, and their Foreplay Album Release party on June 9th in Denver. The album will be available on Spotify, ITunes, and through the band. If you are in the Colorado area, be sure to come out to Tony P’s in Denver for a Good Touch, good time party on the 9th!
