The much anticipated Grateful Dead Documentary to Premier at Ashton Park Music of Film Festival.
There were a varied of reasons why last year lived up to the insurmountable hype. The Core Four not only honored 50 years of Grateful Dead music but they actually managed to add to their resume for music royalty. The perfection that is now "Fare Thee Well" was just a large piece of the GD50 pie. The announcement that renowned filmmaker Martin Scorsese was directing a high budget documentary of The Grateful Dead was epic. That news was every bit as lofty as John Mayer finding the proper balence in his life.
This movie will finally premiere in front of a live audience at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, on April 9Th at 2:30 p.m.The only confirmed content is a vague description of Fare Thee Well and all things between. Scorsese's has a long history of documenting legend musicians.
To a varied of results ranging from brilliant on down. I can not wait to run and see.
