List: Catskill Chill Music Festival - Special musical moments from year's past + lineup and festival map (Sept 18th -20th - Hancock, NY)

This September 18th thru 20th fans will take to mountains for another year of the amazingly intimate and notoriously memorable Catskill Chill Music Festival. Chill has made it mark in the heavily crowded music festival scene with it's uniquely great lineup that sticks to Bluegrass, Jam and Livetronic demographic, smaller capacity limits and the beautiful yet not too remote location. Over all though it's the Chillfam; the same people come back each year bringing along their little brothers and sisters and that it the main factor remains why we love it so.  As we eagerly await another weekend of great music and fun in Hancock, New York with bands such as moe., Lotus, Zappa plays Zappa, Lettuce Dopapod, Twiddle and many more to mention (see lineup poster below). There still are some tickets still available.  We at Grateful Music consider this festival a must see year in and out and we give it our highest (5 Glow-stick Recommendation).  Our reason resonate with most everyone else; the community known as Chillfam and getting the most BANG for your BUCK!
 Let us look back.....

Top moments at Catskill Chill not necessarily in order~

  • Umphrey's Mcgee 2011 - This was tops for several reasons.  It was the first set I shot from the photo pit as a concert photographer, 2 insane sets of music, and the last show seen together with a very close friend.
  • ShwiKus Plays P-Funk 2014 - I have known these guys since 2011, known about their talent since then but this set is when they upped their game, stepped out of a time machine with outfits making you believe it then gave us a set to remember.
  • Turkuaz Sly & the Family Stone 2014 - This was the set that had Club Chill turning back into a vintage dance party.
  • Twiddle 2013 - Best day starting set I've experienced at any festival.
  • Z3 2013 - Ryan from ShwizZ joined for a guitar duel with Tim Palmeri that left the crowd's collective jaw on the floor.
  •   Meters 2013 - 13 year old at the time guitar prodigy Bobby Paltauf sits in with the Meters and shows the future of Rock is bright!
  • Lettuce 2014 - Funk masters play one of the best sets I've heard.
  •  Every moment spent with Chillfam all weekend!  The people and venue make this festival what it is.  They are a perfect match for each other and it only takes an hour or so to feel right at home.  Hope to add you to the family in a couple weeks.
See you at Camp Minglewood in couple weeks!
