TAUK rolled into NYC to play a hometown show at Midtown live on 30th Street with help from Ripe. This venue is tucked into Chelsea and was a surprise to me as I am always in the area and wasn't aware. It is a perfect little place to see a show for an evening.
As usual TAUK showed why they are an act on the rise not to be missed. Catch them at many festivals this year including Summercamp, Wakarusa, Purple Hatters Ball, Mad Tea Party Jam, Electric Forest, and Jam Cruise 2016. I am also very excited to see them at Jones Beach on June 20th with Umphrey's Mcgee and Widespread Panic.
Ripe is a blend of Dance, pop, funk and party rock that warmed the crowd up and got them up and dancing. Featuring Robbie Wulfsohn on vocals, Tory Geismar and Jon Becker on guitar, Sampson Hellerman on drums, Josh Shpak on trumpet, and Calvin Barthel on Trombone they have 1 more date on Boston on 5/7 to wrap up this tour. I recommend you check these guys out when they are nearby.
