Feb 4th came around and Cornmeal brought a packed show to the Beachland Ballroom. As we stomped and watched, I enjoyed the unique sound that came from them and their instruments.
As a whole, they have a traditional sound but I kept tapping into these amazing psychedelic jams that have become prevalent to their shows.
Cornmeal used to be the band with a small spot at festivals in the early 2000's, where they were known to play late night on the side of the trail with a good wholesome bluegrass feel. Now across the country they are playing prime time festivals and sold out shows.
They started out strong and uplifting, jamming and picking away. I have to say the highlight for me was the very end... Shady Grove>Aint gonna work tomorrow>This must be the place (Naive Melody) Afreakinmazing!
