Fox Theater- Oakland, CA- Kelsey Winterkorn
We all have traveled this amazing planet to see amazing live music from the Gorges of George, Washington, to Lake Como, Italy. We all have our preferences and for many different reasons. One can love a band until they see them live and them never want to hear them live or on disc again, likewise one can not be into a band and see them for the first time live and be hooked, like a Phish caught out of the Gulf of Mexico.
There are those of us who prefer the beauty and serenity of a Summer's eve outdoor concert and then those of us who love the energy of a high powered light show inside a Fall of Holiday Tour indoor venue. We all have our favorite place to see live music and maybe, just maybe it depends on the band and absolutely our history. But what I want to know is your favorite venue hands down. Indoor/Outdoor/Campus/Bar/Dive/Meadow/Lake.....Tell us in a comment a little bit about your favorite venue. Who did you see there that made it your favorite and what shows do you continue to see there today and why? Was your favorite venue renamed, but you refuse to call it by it's sponsored name or is it no longer in existence?
Is it the vibe? The acoustics, the scenery....tell us!
Phish and The Dead is conducting a Phan poll of the best venues on this beautiful planet.
Tell us about yours and why.
