Widespread Panic returned to Reno, Nv last night in a Sold Out show at the Grand Sierra Resort,once known as The Reno Hilton, Bally's and originally The MGM...they put on a high energy not stop memorizing show. They first set drew deep into their catalog of songs, with a "Chilly Water> Walk on Water >Chilly". They also played "Ophelia" and a personal favorite, "Ain't Life Grand".
The second set was where the high energy came from with a "Good Morning Little School Girl", a Sonny Boy Williams I song, covered by dozens and made famous by Eric Clapton and the Grateful Dead. They also did a Surprise Valley>Mini Drums>Surprise, a nice surprise indeed!
All in all an excellent show as we gear up for three night at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California, Thurs-Sat...Saturday being Sold Out.
